Tell me, what do you think about feminism? For weeks now I have been trying ever so hard to put my words together concerning my thoughts on feminism and this morning I woke up and I had to whip out my note pad and started punching in my thoughts which I want to share with you.
I believe feminism is rebellion against the natural order of things
and God put things in place the way they ought to be because He knows,
in His infinite wisdom, how best things will function.
He didn't create a
woman less than the man or the man to lord over the woman. No. That's a
lie. Man was built, created, equipped to function in the capacity as
the head of a woman 'in his home'. Please take note of the words 'in his home'.
Just like in
every organization, there is a structure. You can't have two captains in
one ship. If you do, there might be a problem with the functioning
of that organization. There's always an overall head who is 'qualified'
to be in charge.
Same it is with the man in
his home. He is built, qualified by God to head his home. The woman, in
as much as she is told to be submissive to the man, doesn't mean she
doesn't have a say or a voice.
Unfortunately, some men have mismanaged their God-given position. They have abused it and subjected their wives to
slave-status. They expect you to do whatever they want you to do without
even thinking about it or giving a contrary opinion. Just do it.
They also moved this mentality to the corporate world where women are treated less just because she is a woman. An instance is the gender pay gap that exists in certain companies, where the man is paid higher for doing the same thing as the woman. This
wasn't the way God wanted it to be.
Man was in the garden (Eden) and God seeing he was alone wanted to make for Adam 'a helper comparable to him' (Gen 2:18). God's purpose for the woman was to be a helper. The woman
is a help-meet for the man; supporting him, advising him, helping him to fulfill his God-given duty as the head of the home. She gives him the
due respect and submits herself to his decisions he makes after duly
consulting with her.
Just like God created sex
and we abused it, today husbands abuse their positions and guess what?
The world then says the Bible is sexist and patriarchal. Oh no! The Word
of God is perfect. It can never go wrong. We are the ones who misuse it
and misappropriate it.
If we are to follow
the Scriptures the way we ought to, we will see that husbands ought to love their wives, 'just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her' (Eph 5:25). A man who loves his wife wouldn't treat her like she is nothing and that her opinions don't count because he is the 'man'!
Eph 5:28 says, "In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself."
"Nevertheless, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband." (Eph 5:33)
"Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them" Col 3:19.
Also in 1 Pet 3:7, "Husbands, in the same way, treat your wives with consideration as a delicate vessel, and with honor as fellow heirs of the gracious gift of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered."
Eph 5:28 says, "In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself."

Even the Bible points out that the way a man treats his wife can hinder his prayers. So, the Scriptures does not and will never undermine the place and the role of a woman. Instead, it insists that she be treated with honor and with consideration as a delicate vessel. God created her delicate.
Women
don't possess the kind of brute strength a man has. We are naturally weaker in
physical strength than the man. A man is built differently.
Rather, it is in the home that the husband is the head over the woman, his wife! He is not head over every woman in the world, only his wife. Neither is the woman supposed to submit to every man in the world. She is to submit to only her husband.
The Bible didn't say 'the man is head over the woman' but rather 'the husband is head of the wife' (Eph 5:23), so stop twisting God's Word and embrace it for what it is. The man is head over the woman in the home setting because order is needed for a home to function properly. If the man and his wife are dragging position, there will be a problem. God created the man to be in charge and the wife to help him. You can't change that.
Order is created so that things can function at its optimum best. If we want to fight that in the name of being 'woke' and of feminism, we are going against God who created all things and gave them their places. That's rebellion and the world is so full of it.
*Please share if you have a contrary opinion but I so agree with the Bible that God values women and demands that they be treated right. God bless you.
It is only women who are in bondage that seek liberation. As many who are in Christ are free but if they feel or think otherwise, they are ignoranti
