Confused about hearing from God?

I have heard people ask this particular question severally, "How do we hear from God?" But if we check pretty closely we will see that God always, always speaks but who is listening? Most times we are waiting for Him to speak to us in a big audible voice like He did to Samuel and in doing so we miss hearing Him at all! God always speaks but you've got to be alert and in constant fellowship with Him to even hear Him at all. 1. Audible voice : Few days ago, at our Care group a lady shared how God instructed her in an audible voice to give up her school fees for her school's fellowship program and she did. So one of the ways God can speak to us is through an audible voice.  God has never spoken to me this way before. Lol. But does that mean I am less spiritual? No. It doesn't happen to everyone. If God chooses to talk to us this way, it's His own choosing not yours, and that doesn't make you more special than other Christians. 2. Dreams : Yeah, G...

'The Bible is a fable; its stories about the first man and the creation of the world are not true' - Top Israeli Newspaper

The Bible and its stories about the first man and the creation of the world are not true because there is no physical evidence to back it up, according to a new lengthy investigation from one of Israel's top newspapers.  They dismissed it as all fables, from ancients Jews fleeing Egypt to descriptions of King David. "Is the Bible a True Story," the headline asks. "Despite feverish searching with Scripture in one hand and cutting-edge technology in the other, evidence backing the Bible remains elusive." It goes on: "No evidence of the events described in the Book of Genesis has ever been found. No city walls have been found at Jericho, from the appropriate era, that could have been toppled by Joshua or otherwise.  "The stone palace uncovered at the foot of Temple Mount in Jerusalem could attest that King David had been there; or it might belong to another era entirely, depending who you ask." Researchers have long question...

Has Tyler Perry missed it?

Jesus said that by their fruits you shall know them. I love Tyler Perry's movies. He is so so talented. But the more I look at the message he is passing through his movies, the more I begin to wonder. It sounds Christian but something is def wrong with the message. I don't know if anyone has noticed it as well. Tyler Perry started off well. He grew up in Louisiana, strongly influenced by his God-fearing mother, who took him to church regularly.  But recent developments calls for attention as pointed out in this article I am about to publish. It was written by a concerned person who hopes that Tyler will return to pleasing God like he initially did. Titled 'An appeal to Tyler Perry to return to pleasing God', he wrote: 'Disturbing Developments   1. Films going from obnoxious to offensive. Early on, I like millions enjoyed Tyler's comedic films featuring the Madea character. Sure, she was a bit over the top and annoying, but almost all of it was ...

Gay Icon, Little Richard denounces homosexuality

As reported by Charisma news, Iconic musician Little Richard is renouncing his past life of sexual immorality, saying he believes same-sex relationships are "unnatural affections." In previous interviews, the famous singer referred to himself as "omnisexual," revealing in an interview with GQ five years ago that he lived a life of perversion, including orgies. But in an extensive interview with Three Angels Broadcasting Network, an Illinois-based Christian and health-oriented television and radio network, Little Richard says he has repented and turned to Jesus Christ for salvation. "When I first came in show business, they wanted you to look like everybody but yourself," he recalled. "And anybody who comes in show business, they gonna say you gay or straight," he said. "God made men, men and women, women. You've got to live the way God wants you to live ... He can save you," the 84-year-old singer told the Chri...

WORDSHARE: The fruitless tree!

Jesus had an encounter with a fruitless (fig) tree when He was hungry in Mark 11:12-14. He cursed the tree cos though it was so full of leaves yet it had no fruit to show for its lushness.  But note this very important point: it was not the season for figs. So why would  Jesus curse it ?  I believe the Lord is pointing out to us a very very important life lesson about stewardship; as to the kind of tree He wants us to be - the kind of tree that bears fruit in season and out of season. Like the trees planted by the side of the water in Revelations 22:2. The Bible says they bear forth different fruit every month through out the year!         'On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.' As long as we are planted by the river of life, we must bear fruit in season and out of season because we are constan...

Benny Hinn's Nephew speaks out against his uncle's prosperity teachings; calls it 'twisted'

The nephew of Benny Hinn, who is a pastor in Southern California, is criticizing his uncle's prosperity theology and teaching, explaining how it cost him personally as a member of the Hinn family. Costi Hinn The theology his uncle espouses is "twisted," he said. In an HLN exclusive interview with Carol Costello, Costi Hinn described growing up in the Hinn family as a hybrid of being a "royal family" (lavish riches) and the "mafia" (strict enforcement of the mafia).   "You keep to your own, you defend your own. You never, ever, regardless of what the truth might be, do anything to harm or expose at the expense of family. It's just a tight-knit, tight-lipped community," Hinn explained. He recounted that the first time he ever said anything publicly about his family — as people had been asking — he got a phone call from a family member who told him "you need to pipe down, don't talk about family." Hi...

What manner of fake life is this?

I just read an article that people who can’t actually afford to fly on private jets are renting them on the ground for professional photo shoots, just so they can post their own lavish lifestyle photos on Instagram. Lol. Like seriously? I pity those who live off social media, eating up every piece of information they get from there; getting jealous over what is not real and possibly being pushed into doing wrong in order to obtain the kind of life you see on social media. And you forget that it's all picture! They let you see what they want you to see. Kapish. I am sure when you snap their hearts, despite all their luxury, and put it on Instagram, you wouldn't want to be them. This is for those who drool over social media and getting themselves unnecessarily worked up or under pressure, beware.  God's Word is the realest thing in the whole world. I rather you spend time on that than, let me borrow this word, 'masturbating' on social media. My husband ...

If you were the man in this story, what will you do?

I was tired of the relationship but I didn't know how to call it off.  Isaac had been the one who helped fund my education because my parents couldn’t afford the exorbitant fees. Things became financially difficult at home when dad lost his job at the bank.  Then came Isaac. He stepped in and took over the responsibility of my education right from my JSS 1 much to my parents' relief and mine.  I entered into the University and my eyes opened. I met men of class,  more polished and richer than Isaac. Isaac was a school dropout who became successful in the spare parts business at Nkwo Nnewi.  I started comparing every man I meet with Isaac and the result I got made whatever I had felt for him dissipate. I loathed the days he would come to see me in school. I was ashamed hanging out with him but somehow I managed to cover up. I thought he wouldn't notice...  In my final year,  I met and fell in love with a final year med...

Aritificial Intelligence will replace God - author, Da Vinci Code

The author of Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown has spilled in clear terms where the world is headed - a world without God. He believes that religion as we know it will be a thing of the past when artificial intelligence creates a new form of collective consciousness; that technological advancement and the development of AI will transform the concept of the divine.   He forecast the emergence of "some form of global consciousness that we perceive and that becomes our divine". He said, "We will start to find our spiritual experiences through our interconnections with each other. Our need for that exterior god, that sits up there and judges us ... will diminish and eventually disappear." Mr Brown made this disturbing statement while promoting his new novel 'Origin' which was inspired by the question, 'Will God survive science?' *A new religion where AI is god? Here's one word for Dan Brown:       Why do the nations conspire      and the p...
